We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to specifically support account growth for our creative & marketing practice.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of a high-volume of targeted sales activity in pursuit of new business development and client retention to support short and long-term growth for Catena’s Creative & Marketing Practice. This role will have a primary focus on growth within current clients and recapturing previous clients.

This is a full-time remote role with expectations to work EST/CST hours with occasional travel required. This is a base plus commission role with a competitive commission structure including uncapped annual commission potential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and disseminate custom impactful business development outreach to client targets
  • Mushroom assigned accounts and maintain an updated list of appropriate client targets and contacts through research, networking and referrals
  • Develop and grow client relationships through effective daily planning, prospecting, cold calling, and appointment setting maintaining weekly activity goals that meet or exceed 150 individualized and research based outreaches looking to schedule and meet with at least one new VP or higher decision maker weekly
  • Collaborate with the internal delivery team on project proposal development and client presentations
  • Primary responsibility for solution selling in the marketing, creative and digital space to warm and cold accounts and targets
  • Proactively listen and understand clients’ challenges to identify the right solution opportunities for current & future business 
  • Develop and maintain a sales pipeline that consistently meets or exceeds provided revenue and GP targets

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION :

  • Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred
  • Minimum of 4+ years of successful new business development / sales experience selling a service offering with specific experience in the digital, marketing & creative space 
  • Proven experience prospecting, targeting, and growing YoY account revenues  
  • Able to communicate effectively and clearly in writing and verbally, both in one-on-one and in group presentation situations with all levels of staff and executive-level clients 
  • Use deductive reasoning, research skills, and decision-making skills to solve problems and enhance results
  • Ability to independently organize work to meet established objectives and deadlines 
  • Naturally curious and excels in an environment of continuous learning
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals and other relevant industry publications
  • Experience working in the food and beverage, restaurant, retail and/or CPG space is highly preferred
